I weighed myself on Monday and was up a little bit more than my Saturday weigh-in. What that tells me, among other things, is that I am not losing anything on the weekends!
I have to admit that between preschool, groceries, household chores, volunteer opportunities, park days, library trips, dance class, and everything in between I really look to the weekend as a time to sit back and chill. Heck, isn't Sunday supposed to be a day of rest?
Problem is that this mentality of "resting" on the weekends is getting me into weight loss trouble. Plus by lounging around all weekend I'm teaching my kids not to be active on the weekends either and that's no bueno.
My goal this weekend: Get out as a family and be active! We can do Just Dance competitions, go for a walk through the nature preserve nearby, have fun chasing each other at the park, or even just go do a few laps around the local mall.
How do you stay active on the weekends?

Weekends are tough for me because the routine is so different plus that's when there are lots of family get togethers and meals that just aren't the same as other days. Active family outings are a good idea! Guess I need to be more mindful about doing something like that! Thanks for the reminder!
Weekends are great! It's when husbands are home and we can do something fun as a family. Have a picnic, go to the park, museum, ride bikes, etc. View it more as a time to do something together instead of sitting around the house.
MOck if you will, but I tend to do my heaveiest cleaning on Saturdays.
I also send my kids outside a lot on Saturdays, but we have a yard.
The weekend IS my time to not think about weight loss, and I'm OK with that.
