P 90X

I've been toying with the idea of doing P90X at the new year.  My goal for this year has been to do weight watchers the whole year, and simply follow the workout schedule I'd planned previously.

Currently, I work out 3 times a week for about an hour each time.  I'm getting used to doing harder and harder workouts and I do try to vary them....

So, my question, is it doable?  I don't want to workout on Sundays but I could commit to every other day for the 3 months it takes....

Other question, would it be just as good to just workout 6 days a week and continue to follow weight watchers.

BTW< I'm up 2.  You can thank my trip to Maggiano's for that.  But, a gal's gotta live, right?  Onward and upward.

Thanks for the advice on P90X.

I do P90X and I really like the results. At first it was really hard. The workouts are pretty hardcore. You don't have to worry about working out on Sunday. There is a built in "rest day" every 7th day. You could do a milder workout that day, but we just take the full rest. Just start your first workout on a Monday. The results are great, and if you choose to do the diet too, I lost about five pounds in the first week and a half when I did it. I highly recommend getting all the stuff though. The pull up bar makes a huge difference. Or just get the bands and follow the instructions for doing the same exercise with a band. BTW, you rock. You look terrific!

it's crazy! i've never done it, but it just is. i looked into it- and if you are dedicated you can do it (which you are) it's just a LOT of physical work and definately hard core. Some of the workouts are like 90 min...1 hour is sometimes pushing it for me...go for it if you want- you'll do great

P90X is intense. I love the strength training workouts, however I am not a huge fan of the cardio ones. I prefer to just go run. My biggest complaint with the program is it is so time consuming. With the regular DVD being at least an hour plus the ab dvd you're supposed to do you'll spend at least 1 hour 15 minutes every day. On yoga day it's an hour and a half. I love the workouts, but have a hard time committing that much time. I did finish one cycle though and keep meaning to start another, but I just don't have the time.
