Rrrrrr.... {wrong buzzer, for thoser who don't speak consonants}
Regardless, I needed a new swimsuit. Something fierce. My other one is about 4 sizes too large. AND with a toddler clinging onto me I am likely to have a wardrobe malfunction, if you know what i mean. And I know you do. :)
Anyway, I decided to just buy 400 dollars worth of swimsuits from Kohls, have them shipped to my home and decide from there. 350$ of those are being returned, if not more. :) I am SO glad I did this. Easy to try them on during naptime and just get it over with!
I have one piece of advice that has been really important lately -- find out what kind of bra suits you best. I, apparently, have boobs that take an "A" shaped bra better then the other shapes. Does that make sense? there are some bras that look more like a d -- where the strap is more to the side, and that just doesn't work for me. This was really handy when I was looking for suits, and after I narrowed it down with that information, I picked out about 6 of them in differing sizes since I had no idea what would fit. I ended-up with this one:
with a different bottom. I don't like how that bow works with the top of my suit, usually.
Do you see what I mean about my bra being an A shape? Who knew?
Anyway, it's just funny how sizes fit on top and bottom. I must admit this one's just a teeny bit small right now, but I'm hoping to lose some more before swimsuit season and it looks just fine now. I am just sure it'd fit a little better 10 pounds from now. :)
Anyway, it's just a reminder that the body you have just gets smaller. I still have hips to hide and tiny boobs. Those aren't changing any time soon.
I will say that being able to pick from the "womens" instead of "plus" does make a difference as far as selection. It's nice to have a lot to pick from.
Happy swimsuit season.
P.S. I also got a rash gaurd. Think I'll use it? Seems like it'd be nice for pool days when I am not in the mood to sunscreen my back every few minutes. :)

That is very cute!
I never knew this about the swimsuit bras, which is definitely one of the frustrating parts of swimsuit shopping.
And yes, about the body shape never changing. Sigh. I got my Easter dress in a size smaller since I have lost enough weight (so I thought) to move down a size. Unfortunately, all of the inches I have lost are from the waist up and just teeny bits on the hips and thighs. So, the dress fit great on top and really accentuates my lovely hips. Maybe another 10 pounds and I can wear it without that problem. We'll see. I WILL wear it, though.
I got a rash guard last summer and wore it all the time. I think it's kinda cute, you can drive home from the pool with it on and not feel weird :-) no sunburns either!
that suit is WAY cute :)
I really like it! Glad you found a way to get one that fits you.
